THE WORLD

Directed by ZADIE JIA

In this world, people's lives and actions are controlled by the black line on the ground, and everyone wears a mask. In one room, students walk on black lines every day, and their seats are connected by black lines. The teacher - the supervisor - watches everything, and when someone leaves the black line, he is punished. A free girl student is not willing to be restrained by the black line, she is late, teasing the teacher, doing something unrelated to the study. After being punished by her teacher, a Paper ball falls from the sky and draws her attention to the door at the back of the classroom and the world outside. She escaped from the room and walked bravely toward the cliff and fog outside the door.

FOR HOPE'S FLICKERING STAR

The uninspiring mother and the cancer father had a huge disagreement over whether to have a second child and how to give this child a better future. The peaceful life of the family was broken.

With the unexpected death of my father, it left the mother and son with a difficult problem in how to continue their lives. Mother did not choose to bow to fate again, and bravely took the child to live. She tried to find a way for autistic patients to be self-reliant. She used the last money left by her husband to set up a mutual aid group for the disabled. With the help of kind people, they got a new life.

FUNERAL

Directed by Peter

Through a seemingly absurd rural farce, the film maps out many social issues, such as the cultural and ideological differences between rural and urban areas, family education and family conflicts, which leads to a rethink of China’s binary structure of urban and rural. It is a black humor about the selfish human heart that is slowly exposed after the fake death of the old grandma. The main character of the film the youngest grandson was brought up by his grandmother, and his longing for the simplicity of the countryside, his longing for his grandmother and his childhood friends, his youthful ignorance and innocence, and his love of opera after his grandmother's death were all buried with the funeral.
